X8 is a multiplayer VR hero shooter, think Valorant but in VR.

Role: Lead User Interface Engineer

Effective collaboration and communication were paramount during my tenure as Lead UI Engineer for X8, as we worked with team members spanning different parts of the world.

In addition to the development and implementation of UI systems for X8, I provided guidance to a small team of junior engineers, ensuring the UI aligned with the aesthetic and functional requirements outlined by Art and Design.

Prioritizing performance, I meticulously profiled and optimized UI systems, resulting in reduced load times and minimized CPU/GPU hitching, all while maintaining robust cross-platform support.
